Who is Home Comfort?
Home Comfort is a limited liability company (2004), its Director is Penelope Haines and more information can be found at www.homecomfort.net.nz.
What Services are you offering?
Home Comfort offers a range of staffing solutions from temporary staffing through to taking over your entire staffing and payroll functions.
What happens to our current staff?
If Home Comfort is taking over the employment of your current staff then you will need to make your current staff redundant. Home Comfort will employ them all at the current rates of pay that they are receiving.
What are our liabilities and obligations to staff?
This will depend on your current employment contract. You may be up for redundancy payments (if included in your contract). You will be required to pay up all of your employee's holiday pay and other contingent liabilities at the termination of their employment.
What changes will I notice?
None on a daily basis, you will have the same staff performing the same roles, you will not have to worry about payroll or IRD employer obligations.
What are the Benefits?
No contingent employment liabilities being accumulated, no worry about organizing emergency cover and no staffing budgetary blowouts, no having to recruit new staff, lesser administrative time and costs, cash flow advantages.
What are the costs?
Our cost structure is very transparent and is as follows:

Do the costs change?
As changes occur in wages and inflation overtime then the total amount charged will change. If there are legislative changes to employer obligations then Home Comfort reserves the right to change its cost and price structure accordingly.
How do I cease to use your service?
We appreciate that business plans and circumstances change. As such our agreement can come to an end at any time subject to the notice period and other obligations contained in our 'Terms and Conditions'.

What happens to my job?
If Home Comfort is taking over the employment of existing staff then you will be made redundant from you current position. Home Comfort will employ you at your current rate of pay. You will then be an employee of Home Comfort and will enter into a standard employment contract with us.
What happens to my holiday pay, sick leave etc?
Because your current job is coming to an end all of your accrued benefits will be paid out to you in a lump sum on the termination of your existing employment contract.
What changes will I notice?
None on a daily basis, you will work with the same colleagues in the same environment performing the same duties. You will be paid by Home Comfort instead of the facility where you work
What are the Benefits?
Lump sum payout of accrued benefits, 8% holiday pay paid each week (more money in your pocket each week), opportunity to work in other facilities or locations, greater flexibility in hours worked (more hours or less hours depending on what you want), knowledge that back up staff are always available for emergency cover.
